It sounds like you perhaps have some items in your Myth II/local folder? try renaming that, and launching it again.

Nordic Warriors was inspired by Myth, but it's single player only. Deadhold was another, but it got canceled (for now... ), ROBA is inspired by WWII Recon for Myth II, after that, you have to stray pretty far from Myth.

Back then we didn't have all the assets, or a good way to upscale the old sprites for scenery, so he was working on some replacements for them. I never saw the actual assets though, just screenshots. Bizarre, are your drivers up to date? Did you try a different renderer? Trying to narrow down what the issue is.

The latest version of Myth runs on macs all the way back to OS9, and all the way up to contemporary.
